We woke early at our house in Blairgowrie with lots of tears, excitement and jumping on the bed. The day started with pilates on the lawn followed by Dad’s ricotta pancakes, it was such a beautiful, relaxed morning hanging out with my best friends and family.
There was a bit of silly dancing going on (and many laughs) to bide the time as we were all getting our hair and makeup done. We felt very spoilt getting pampered while we sipped champagne, it was all a bit surreal and only began to feel real when all we put our dresses on and the nerves started to set in.
Despite realising we were one bridesmaids dress short (!), it was all very relaxed and just so much fun. One of my favourite moments was seeing my Dad for the first time once my dress was on, it was very emotional.
The morning was just so special, I will never forget it, and it set the scene for the most amazing, incredible day. I wish we could do it all again.
