I actually chose not to have bridesmaids, however always thought the getting ready part looked like such fun and didn’t want to miss out on that.
With my besties travelling from Scotland, England and New Zealand it also gave me some extra time to spend with them as I only see them once a year.
Being quite shy by nature I was super nervous about the wedding itself so I’m so glad we got to spend the morning drinking champagne (and gin), getting our make up done and chilling out. My now husband and his friends even popped around for some pre-wedding board games and espresso martini’s. Luckily our photographer Madeline Kate was there to remind us we actually had to leave to get to the wedding itself!
